Pat will be leaving the City of Ramsey to become the Community <br />Development Director at the City of Roseville. His last day is November 21 st. We wish him well in his <br />new position. Attached is a letter from Pat. <br /> <br />. Comprehensive Plan Process: The Comp Plan series of collaborative planning sessions with the public; <br />city staff, council and commission members, and the City's consultant continues to be a success. The <br />remaining schedule is November" 14 - traffic corridor improvements, December 5 - visioning and <br />marketing Ramsey. ' . <br /> <br />The following is a brief summary of actions taken by the City Council on October 9 and October 23 that <br />may be of interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment,. Rezoning, Site Plan Review, and Preliminary Plat <br />review for Ebony Woods-Dan Murphy and Tim Holm. The City Council denied all the requests with <br />regard to Ebony Woods, and directed staff to bring forward a comprehensive plan amendment to re-guide <br />the property Low Density Residential. <br /> <br />GAD's Prairie Road Extension. The City Council ratified the recommendation of the Public Works <br />Committee to authorize the acquisition of right-of-way to extend Helium Street through the northern <br />properties to 146th Avenue, and authorized up to $60,000 to pay for ROWand legal fees associated with <br />the extension. <br /> <br />Home Occupation Permit- Mary Toso. The City Council approved the request for the applicant to <br />conduct a bed and breakfast out of her home on the River in Alpaca Estates. <br /> <br />Site Plan Approval of CNP Storage. After significant discussion, the City Council approved the site plan <br />request for the mini-storage facility to be located on the northeast comer of Ramsey Boulevard and <br />Bunker Lake Boulevard, contingent upon submitting more detailed architectural renderings. <br /> <br />Extension to the Summerset Meadows Plat. The City Council approved an extension to the preliminary <br />plat approval of Summerset Meadows, a 700+ subdivision west of the Armstrong Boulevard and north of <br />Highway 10. This is the second extension they have received to their preliminary plat approval. <br /> <br />Ordinance to amend Chapter Five, Public Nuisances Section. The City Council introduced and adopted <br />an ordinance to Chapter Five that replaces language concerning tracks and trails that was inadvertently <br />deleted in the original revision of the ordinance in August. <br /> <br />Request to Enter into a Contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield. The City Council authorized the City <br />Administrator to enter into a contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield to accept a $35,000 planning grant to <br />explore policies for incorporating active living principles/strategies to increase physical activity into the <br />Comprehensive Plan.
