Some of the information with regard to polling locations may have been incorrect. Please refer to the elections article in this edition of the Ramsey Resi- dent to confirm your correct polling place or call Ramsey Municipal Center at 763-427-1410. The Comprehensive Planning Process Needs You! Are you interested in making a difference in your community and city? If so, this is the time to get involved! The city of Ramsey is embarking on its 2008 Comprehen- sive Plan Update. The Comprehensive Plan is the docu- ment that lays out the guide for the development of homes and businesses, the construction and expansion of road- ways and highways, the preservation of open spaces and natural areas, and the acquisition of parkJand, trails, and other community facilities. This is the document the city and developers use to mal(e choices about investments, both public and private. We need your ideas and sugges- tions. The city is using an innovative way to approach the Comprehensive Plan update. The new process ulilizes Open Space Technology (OST) which relies on the attend- ees to create the agenda and lead discussions. The issues Continued on Page 4 Extreme Makeover Home Edition in Minnesota When Extreme Makeover Home Edition filmed an upcoming episode in Minnesota, two local Ramsey busi- nesses, TLM Cabinets and Task Masters, answered the call to be part of this event. Extreme Makeover Home Edi- tion is an ABC Primetime reality show that travels across the country building dream homes for those in need. The original home was completely tom down and reconstruct- ed. Crews had only one week to demolish the old home and rebuild a completely brand new 5,600 square foot home. The episode, filmed in Minnetonl(a, Minnesota, will air November 25 at 7:00 pm. The episode filmed in Minnesota marks the 100th episode of the show and is the largest build that the show has done to date. TLM Cabinets was one Ramsey business involved in the build. Chris Weiss, Foreman for TLM Cabinets and a city of Ramsey Fire Fighter, spent several hours on the project. TLM Cabinets provided two employees each day during the six day build.
