Public Notice

~

Extreme Home Makeover (Continued From Page 1)

Weiss stated that watching the
reaction of the family during
the reveal was one of his
favorite memories of the build.

on were some of the build's special
projects. These special projects
are often the highlights of the build
during the reveal at the end of the
episode.
The TLM crew also spent
several hours assembling, lifting, and
setting cabinets in the home. Ex-
treme Makeover Home Edition has
exclusive agreements with several
vendors, including Craft Maid Cabi-
nets, according to Weiss. TLM Cabi-
nets spent several hours in their shop
figuring out how to assemble these
cabinets prior to shipping them to the
site. Once on site, TLM Cabinets
also installed these cabinets through-
out the home. Also assisting the
TLM crew was the city of Ramsey's
own Fire Marshal, Jerry Streich.
Weiss stated that watching
the reaction of the family during the
reveal was one of his favorite memo-

ries of the build. If you would lil(e to
contact TLM Cabinets, e-mail Chris
Weiss at chris@tlmcabinets.com.
Another city of Ramsey
business, Tasl( Masters, worked on
designing and constructing an elabo-
rate landscape plan, sidewalks, ponds,
water falls, and a hot tub. Task
Masters specializes in landscape and
construction and is owned and oper-
ated in part by Scott Widstrom, who
also serves as a Police Reserve on the
city of Ramsey Police Department.
Widstrom, who owns the construction
portion of the company, stated that
approximately 100 people worked on
the exterior portion of the build and
had only two days to complete the
tasl(. This was the first time on Ex-
treme Mal(eover Home Edition that
one company ran the entire exterior
build, according to Widstrom.
"I was amazed at how well
everyone worl(ed together," said
Widstrom. While preparing to install
a pond, Task Mater's crew discovered
electric utilities were buried in the
way. Widstrom stated that the ex-
cavator worked with Xcel Energy in

Attention Ramsey
Residents

Please help us keep
snow away from fire hy-
drants. Snow piled or shoveled close
to hydrants restricts operation during
a fire emergency.
After a snowfall, the Public
Works Department is responsible
for clearing snow from city streets.
Depending on the amount and type
of snow, this could tal(e several
days. We are requesting your help in

keeping our fire hydrants accessible.
Please clear a four-foot circle around
any hydrant near your home or busi-
ness to assure easy access for our Fire
Department.
If you have questions or
comments, please call John Nelson,
Ramsey Fire Department at 763-433-
9861. The Ramsey Fire Department
thanks you for your assistance.

record time to get the line moved in
order for Task Master to complete the
build. If you would like to contact
Task Masters, contact Scott Widstrom
at scott@taslrmastersinc.com or 612-
363-4538. Visit Task Masters on the
web at www.taskmastersinc.com.
This episode features the Sw-
enson-Lee family struggling to cope
with the loss of a mother, Terry Lee.
Lee, a mother of four, was fatally shot
by her ex-boyfriend in September
2006. Vicl(i Seliger Swenson, Lee's
sister, and her husband took Lee's
four children into their own family.
The Swensons have three children of
their own, with another on the way.
Finding space for all the children un-
der one roof had become a challenge.
Tune in to KSTP Channel 5
on Sunday, November 25 at 7:00 pm
to see local Ramsey businesses on
national television!

Rink Attendants
Needed

The city of Ramsey is seek-
ing Rink Attendants.
