<br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Declaring Land as Surplus for Property and Authorizing <br />the Sale of Lot 2, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park Fourth Addition <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Ordinance #07- <br />20 which is an ordinance declaring Lot2, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park Fourth Addition <br />as surplus property and authorizing its sale. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Olson stated that she would like to change the motion to <br />include the change in language under Section 3 to future tense. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look and Councilmember Elvig accepted the friendly amendment to change the <br />language in Section 3 from past tense to future tense. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec: aye <br />Councilmember Dehen: aye <br />Councilmember Elvig: aye <br />Councilmember Look: aye <br />Councilmember Olson: aye <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey: absent <br />Councilmember Strommen: absent <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Consider Lease of Property at 6131 Highway 10 (former Premier <br />Commercial Properties) <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City had purchased the property at 6131 Highway 10 <br />through the RALF program. He stated that this is a vacant unimproved property and the City has <br />entered into negotiations with Ramsey JR Partners who owns the adjacent property and houses <br />the Outpost and Well's Catering. He stated that they would like to use this lot for parking lot <br />purposes and the City has proposed a five year lease term, where Ramsey JR Partners would rent <br />the space from the City for a cost of $1.00 per year and the City would pay $1,000 of the <br />approximately $5,000 cost to pave the parking area. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that he is not interested in having the residents pick up the tab so <br />these business can have overflow parking. He stated that he feels that the business should pay <br />the entire $5,000 to pave the parking area. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he agreed that the residents should not pick up this tab. <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson stated that she also agreed that the City should not participate in paving <br />costs. <br /> <br />City Council /October 23, 2007 <br />Page 17 of21 <br />
