Voting <br />No: None. <br />Case #10: Consider Appointing aVice-Chair for the Public Works Committee <br />Chair Elvig stated that he would like to appoint aVice-Chair in case he cannot attend a Public <br />Works Committee meeting. <br />Motion by Chair Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to appoint Councilmember Dehen <br />as the Vice-Chair of the Public Works Committee. <br />Motion carried. Voting <br />No: None <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br />Receive Notice of Speed Zone Study on CSAH 5 <br />Public Works Director Olson stated that the City had received notice from the County that they <br />will conduct a speed study as the City requested from TH 47 (St. Francis Boulevard) to Alpine <br />Drive when school is in session. <br />Councilmember Olson stated that she had received a request from a resident for a speed study on <br />Bunker Lake Boulevard near Sunwood Drive. She stated that this resident was interested in <br />lowering the speed limit`because it is so difficult to get onto Bunker Lake Boulevard. <br />Public Works Director Olson suggested that the resident be informed of the plans by the County <br />to reconstruct Bunker Lake Boulevard between Thurston Avenue and Sunfish Lake Boulevard in <br />both directions in 2011. <br />Update on CR 63 Turnback from Anoka County <br />This item was discussed under Case # 1. <br />Public Works Committee /September 18, 2007 <br />-15 8 - Page 22 of 23 <br />
