Councilmember introduced the following resolution. and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #07-11- RESOLUTION ADOPTING .FINDINGS OF FACT. # TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM B-2 BUSINESS TOR-1 RESIDENTIAL WHEREAS, on October 9, 2007 the City.. Council directed Staff to advertise a public hearing on a request to rezone certain property in accordance with Section 9.03.03 (Zoning Amendments) of the Ramsey City Code. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the -City of Ramsey, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," has properly applied to rezone certain property from B-2 Business to R-1 Residential. 2. That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant. to Section 9.03.03 of the City Code on November 1, 2007 and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. 3: That the properly proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: Lot 3, Block 4, Riverside West, Anoka County, Minnesota, according to the recorded plat thereof and that part of Lot 1, Block 1, Riverview Bawl, Anoka County, Minnesota according to the recorded plat thereof lying southerly of the westerly extension of the north line of Lot 2, Block 1, said plat of Riverview Bowl. 4. That the total area of the property to be rezoned is 1.1 acres in size. 5. That no development is proposed for the Subject Property at this time. 6. That the proposed.rezoning is located within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) boundary. 7. That the' Subject Property is currently zoned B=2 Busiress and the surrounding properties are zoned B-2 Business and R-1 Residential. . 8. That the Subject Property is located within the Mississippi River Overlay District. 9. That the proposed rezoning, as proposed, will/will not be compatible with surrounding land uses. -319-
