CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session. on Tuesday, October 16, <br />2007, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Member Absent: Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Associate Planner Amy Geisler <br />Housing Consultant Cathy Bennett <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson (arrived at 8:40 p.m.) <br />City Attorney William K. Goodrich (arrived at 8:40 p.m.) <br />Attorney Tom Bray, Briggs and Morgan (arrived at 8:40 p.m.) <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 7:36 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Review of HRA Goals and Potential Projects in Ramsey <br />Associate Planner Geisler re-introduced Housing Consultant, Cathy Bennett who has begun work <br />on collecting data for the HRA goals. <br />Housing Consultant Bennett stated that there was information in the packet that includes <br />information she received from her discussion with business owners. She stated. that business <br />.owners have indicated that they are happy with the diversity of housing stock in Ramsey. She <br />stated that she has not been able to contact the retail businesses, which may have the lower <br />paying jobs that could perhaps have a harder time finding housing in the community.
