CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Members Absent: Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Associate Planner Amy Geisler <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sean Sullivan <br />Management Intern Timothy Gladhill <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at .7:10 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Gamec announced that earlier today there was a <br />welcome party for new City Administrator Ulrich who has been on the job for 5 weeks. <br />HAPPY DAYS SPONSORSHIP RECOGNITION <br />Management Intern Gladhill introduced the Happy Days Co-Chair, Maria Norman. <br />Ms. Norman stated that she wanted to thank the sponsors and committee members for their hard <br />work to make this year's event such a success. The committee members present introduced <br />themselves. Present were Deb Hanson, Tim Dwyer, Brenda Reilly, Cindy McKay, Tori Johnson <br />and Jim Green. Ms. Norman stated that there were plaques for platinum sponsors: Bank of the <br />West; Bob FM; Bolton and Menk; Countryside Printing; Connexus Energy; Do All Printing; <br />Grosslein Beverage; Independent Luxury Homes; Ramsey Lions Club, and Wendells. She <br />thanked the many mini-sponsors and noted that they have raised over $1.7,000 in •sponsorship <br />funds, which is $4,000-more than last year..
