Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #07-11-XXX <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE 2007 ANOKA HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER <br />TEAM-CLASS AA STATE .CHAMPIONS,. COACH -PETE HAYES AND HIS .STAFF, <br />AND THE DEDICATION AND HARD WORK OF THE ANOKA-RAMSEY ATHLETIC <br />ASSOCIATION ' <br />WHEREAS, the 2007 .Anoka High School Boys Soccer Team won the state .boys soccer <br />tournament to become the 2007 Class AA Boys Soccer State Champions; and <br />WHEREAS, Pete Hayes, Head Coach of the 2007 Anoka Boys Soccer Team and his <br />taff, accomplished a tremendous feat by prevailing in a tournament of long-standing <br />championship teams; and. <br />WHEREAS, _ the commitment to excellence in athletics and academics at Anoka High. <br />School is demonstrated by this Championship Team; and <br />WHEREAS, the seeds of this success were planted inthe dedication and hard work of <br />the families who have served the local youth. athletic associations and built these athletes over <br />the past ten years; and <br />WHEREAS, special recognition and appreciation is due to Bc Associationasey for their <br />dedication to and many years of work with the Anoka Ramsey Athlete <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY; ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey. City Council hereby adopts this resolution commending the 2007 <br />Anoka High School Boys Soccer Team-Class worktof the Anoka-Ramsey Youth <br />Hayes and his staff, and the dedication and hard <br />Athletic Association. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: . <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 13~' day of November, 2007. <br />-3- <br />
