MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />FROM: <br />RE: <br /> <br />June I5, 1995 <br /> <br />Sylvia <br /> <br />Kendra <br /> <br />Commercial vehicle ordinances <br /> <br />I spoke to several cities regarding their commercial vehicles ordinances. The following is a <br />summary of each citY. I have attached copies of what they faxed me as well. <br /> <br />Andover <br />*Commercial vehicles are defined as "any vehicle used primarily for the movement of cargo or <br />passengers in the normal operation of business" <br />*No more than one track with a gross capacity of 12,000 pounds or less. <br />*In R-1 and R-2 SFR districts, one truck-tractor can be stored in an accessory building if the lot is <br />at least three (3) acres. <br />*Absolutely nO semi-trailer parking <br />*required parking facilities may not be used for commercial vehicles, equipment, or employee <br />parking <br /> <br />Anoklt <br />*No trucks in excess of three-quarters ton shall be parked on public, streets or in the open in <br />residential districts <br /> <br />Brooklyn Pltrk <br />*Parking .in residential districts is limited to vehicles not to exceed 9,000 pounds gross weight <br /> <br />Coon Rapids <br />*No parking of vehicles over 9,000 pounds gross..:,ehicle weight <br />*No parking of truck-tractors, semi-trailers, or special mobile equipment <br />Except: <br />*one truck over 9,000 lbs or one track-tractor if (I) the vehicle is owned and operated by the <br />property owner, (2) the vehicle is parked on the paved driveway or a private parking lot on the <br />property and (3) the vehicle is not allowed to idle for more than 1 hour in any 6 hour period. <br /> <br />Elk River <br />*No parking of vehicles in excess of 7,000 pound on public property in residential areas <br />*No parking of track-tractors and/or trailers on residential lots in the City sewered area. <br />*Parking is allowed in A-1 and R-1/A districts. <br /> <br /> <br />
