PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, June 4, 1996, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a proposed ordinance to amend lighting standards in the B- l, B-2, B-3, BW, and Industrial <br />Districts. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that City Staff drafted an ordinance to duplicate the lighting <br />standards in the R-3 Urban Residential District in the B-l, B-2, B-3, BW, and Industrial Districts. <br />Ms. Frolik explained that any lighting used to illuminate an off-street parking area, sign or structure, <br />shall be arranged to deflect light away from an adjoining residential district or public street. Bulbs <br />emitting in excess of 3,000 lumens (150 watts) shall be so directed that the bulb is not visible from <br />off of the property where such light source is located. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning Commission/June 4, 1996 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
