PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, August 6, 1996, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a Request to Rezone Certain Property from B-1 Business to R-1 Rural Residential; Case <br />of C. Thomas Austin. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Paul Holland <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 7:39 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik explained the applicant owns a 4.7 acre parcel South of T.H. #10 <br />and west of Wayside Park. Ms. Frolik explained the property is currently zoned B-1 Business, but <br />has been used as Residential for decades. She explained that the applicant plans to demolish the <br />current home and will lose the 'grandfathered' rights, hence, this request to rezone. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Dale Lakendorf stated he is a builder hired by the applicant.
