CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 1996, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin, on behalf of the City and Council, presented Michael Fisher with a Community <br />Service Award for his bird house project. <br /> <br />Mr. Fisher then thanked the City for supplying the materials and Parks Utilities Supervisor Mark <br />Boos for his ideas and direction. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler presented Volunteer Fire Fighters Ron Lemm and Bill Karels with an <br />award commending them for their dedication and commemorating the end of their one-year <br />probationary period. <br /> <br />Pete Turok, representing the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce, presented the City with a plaque <br />commemorating Ramsey's support to the Chamber. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Ben Deemer, 14501 Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW, Ramsey, stated he would like to be heard <br />during the discussion of the special election. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder asked to add Case #17: Award Contract for Construction of Police <br />Facility. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve the agenda <br />with the addition of Case #17. <br /> <br />City Council/April 9, 1996 <br /> Page 3 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
