BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer <br />the Front Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of William <br />Schrader <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that Mr. Schrader's lot at 16750 Wolverine Circle N.W. is a <br />classic case for a variance in that the side and rear yards are consumed by septic system, well and <br />sharp declines in topography, and is inundated with mature tree growth. She noted the existing <br />garage is 768 square feet and the proposed garage is 896 square feet, for a total of 1,664 square <br />feet of garage and accessory building space which is the amount entitled to the subject parcel. <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment proceeded to review the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Bawden and seconded by Board Member Holland to amend the <br />Findings of Fact to the positive. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Holland, Jensen, <br />LaDue, Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Bawden and seconded by Board Member Thomd to adopt Resolution <br />g96-04-065 adopting Findings of Fact g0396 relating to William Schrader's request for a variance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Thorud, Holland, <br />Jensen, LaDue, and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Bawden and seconded by Board Member Terry to approve William <br />Schrader's request for a variance to construct an accessory structure nearer the front property line <br />than the principal structure on the property known as 16750 Wolverine Circle N.W. and adopt <br />Resolution//96-04-066 declaring terms of the variance. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: The Board questioned whether the applicant was sure he would not come any <br />closer than 95 feet from the front property line. <br /> <br />Amendment by Board Member Bawden and seconded by Board Member Terry to amend term//2 <br />to read "The accessory garage constructed on the subject property shall not be located any closer <br />than ninety (90) feet from the front property line. <br /> <br />Amendment carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Terry, Holland, <br />Jensen, LaDue, and Thorud. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Bawden, Terry, Holland, <br />Jensen, LaDue, and Thorud. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />BOARD INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member LaDue and seconded by Board Member Bawden to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carded.
