<br />Councilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-11-303 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL MAP OF A PORTION OF THE NORTHWEST <br />METRO CORRIDOR AND RIVER CROSSING OVER LOTS 1, 2, AND 3, BLOCK 1, RIVER <br />CROSSING ADDITION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Northwest Metro Corridor and River Crossing study was conducted in 2004 <br />indicating the need for a future bridge crossing over the Mississippi River between the City of Ramsey <br />and the City of Dayton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Northwest Metro Corridor and River Crossing study indicated a need for an <br />interchange with US Highway 10; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, in conjunction with Anoka County, completed the Hwy. 10 <br />Access Management study in 2006 showing the preferred alignments for interchanges that will need to <br />be constructed in conjunction with the future Hwy. 10 improvements to convert the corridor from an <br />expressway to a freeway; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hwy. 10 Access Management study showed the preferred alignment of the <br />future Northwest Metro Corridor and River Crossing with Hwy. 10 along with several other potential <br />alignments; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all alignments under consideration as part of the Northwest Metro Corridor and <br />River Crossing and the Highway 10 Access Management Plan require the use of the land described as <br />Lots 1,2,3, Block 1, River Crossing Addition; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County is in the process of purchasing Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 1, River <br />Crossing Addition for future roadway purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has prepared an "Official Map" in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes, Sections 462.351 and City Code Section 9.20.32 over Lots 1, 2, 3, Block 1, River Crossing <br />Addition in order to preserve the property for the future Northwest Metro Corridor and River Crossing. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 1, 2007, the Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public <br />hearing regarding the Official Map; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 1,2007, the Ramsey Planning Commission recommended approval <br />of the Official Map over Lots 1,2, and 3, Block 1, River Crossing Addition. <br />
