<br />Councilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION #08-08-134
<br />
<br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION
<br />ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2008
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the.City of Ramsey will be conducting a Primary Election on September 9,
<br />2008; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for
<br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and
<br />
<br />,.
<br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $8,00 for election judge trainees, $9,00 for
<br />regular election judges and $9,50 for chairs; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City will be receiving a subsidy from Anoka County of approximately
<br />$192.00 per precinct, for a total subsidy of $1 ,536.
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY.COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
<br />
<br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Primary
<br />Election to be held on September 9,2008:
