CITY <br /> <br />COUNCIL/STAFF WORKSHOP <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council and City Staff conducted a workshop meeting on Thursday, May 9, <br />1991 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Jim Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Ken Peterson <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin (arrived 6:51 p.m.) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator Sandra Ashley Helling <br />Police Chief Mike Auspos <br />Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Mark Boos <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Richard Cich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the workshop meeting to order at 6:44 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />The consensus was to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: General Discussion <br /> <br />Acting City Administrator Sandra Ashley Helling noted that she has talked with the new City <br />Administrator, Ryan Schroeder, and he is planning on attending the May 14 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer requested that City Staff make plans for a reception for the new City <br />Administrator and that all City Boards, Commissions, staff and the general public be invited to <br />attend. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson suggested that Mrs. Helling also be recognized at the reception for her <br />efforts as Acting City Administrator. Councilmember Peterson requested that Staff prepare a <br />couple of options for the reception, along with cost estimates, for Council review. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated that there is a need for a policy in Ramsey that defines when it is <br />appropriate for staff to be paid for participating in community events. <br /> <br />City Council/Staff Workshop - May 9, 1991 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
