<br />., <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey moved for the adoption of the following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-09-193 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0832 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT A RELIGIOUS <br />INSTITUTION IN AN R-l RESIDENITAL ZONING DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Community, hereinafter referred to as <br />"Applicant", has properly applied for a Conditional Use Permit to allow construct of a church <br />facility on the property generally located on the northwest comer of Variolite Street and 161 st <br />Avenue, legally described as: <br /> <br />The Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter except the west 185.0 feet thereof <br />and except roads subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />-Or upon recording- <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1, St. Katharine Drexel's First Addition <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on April 3, 2008, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is currently located in the R-l Central Rural Reserve zoning <br />district. <br /> <br />3. That the surrounding parcels are zoned R-l MUSA, R-l Central Rural Reserve, and <br />Public-Quasi Public. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is vacant and 37.5 acres in size. <br /> <br />. 5. That a site plan, comprehensive plan amendment, and minor plat are being processed with <br />the conditional use permit. <br /> <br />6. That, given the business nature of churches (size, traffic, structure and parking needs), the <br />B-1 business development standards and fees will be utilized in reviewing this application. <br />
