Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Assistant Finance Officer Sandy Carlson <br />Accountant Danelle Johnson <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the Truth in Taxation hearing to order at 6:15 p.m. He stated that this <br />meeting is to go over the proposed City budget for 2009, not regarding tax statements, as that is <br />handled by Anoka County. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund introduced the finance staff that were present at tonight's meeting: <br />Assistant Finance Officer Sandy Carlson and Accountant Danelle Johnson. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich clarified that this meeting is actually to talk about the City portion of <br />the tax seen on the tax statements. He stated that the valuation meetings happen in the <br />springtime, which is taken up with the County Board. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that the purpose of tonight's meeting is to review and adopt the <br />proposed budget and tax levy. She stated that this meeting is required by State law and this <br />budget will be adopted on December 9, 2008. She reiterated that this meeting is not to appeal <br />property valuations for taxes payable in 2009.
