<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, May 30, 2006, in the <br />Conference Room at Ramsey City Hall, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Al Pearson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Jim Lasher, LSA Design <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the special meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 5:38 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Acquisition of Property along TH #10 Near the NW River Crossing <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that this is an item we talked about briefly at the last City <br />Council meeting. Staff met with Boike's and their Realtor the next day; we put the purchase <br />order before Boike's and they agreed. They wanted to move ahead immediately. The County <br />agreed the earliest time we could close is June 30. Boike's agreed but they wanted us to sign the <br />purchase agreement; they even wanted $10,000 in earnest money. Mr. Norman stated he offered <br />to them that he would ask to have this special City Council meeting and review the purchase <br />agreement and we still need to put together a financing plan.
