Staff was discussing the
possible river crossing system interchange with TH #10. The Council directed staff to begin
working with the county for the acquisition of the property immediately to the south of TH #10.
Staff has had several meetings with the county and the property owner; however, at this time the
matter has yet to be resolved. Staff would like to take the opportunity to update the Council and
possibly seek direction regarding the acquisition of the TH #10 interchange. Mr. Norman
indicated the County had wanted to determine whether the state would participate in the
crossing. He has just received an update from Chris Roy of MnDOT, who believes the state will
be able to find funding for the crossing.
City Council Work Session / March 21, 2006
Page 1 of 7
