<br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission conducted a joint meeting with the City Council <br />on June 11,2009, at Alpine Park, 6600 Alpine Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Commission Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Jill Johns <br />Commissioner Amber Erickson (left at 7:25 p.m.) <br />Commissioner Randy Backous (left at 7:00 p.m.) <br />Commissioner Bridget Barr <br />Commissioner Tom LaMere <br />Commissioner Melody Shryock <br />Commissioner Angela Olsen <br /> <br />City Council Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Jeffery <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmeniber Matt Look <br />Councilmember Jeff Wise <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor, Mark Riverblood <br />Civil Engineer II, Leonard Linton <br />Public Works Director/Principal Engineer, Brian Olson <br />City Administrator, Kurt Ulrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns called the Park and Recreation Commission meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Josh Hasbrook, Radium Street, questioned if the City would be able to provide an area with dirt <br />jumps for the BMX bikers. He explained that there was an area previously used near Tom <br />Thumb but is no longer usable. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood thought that might be a possibility in an undeveloped area of the <br />City. He questioned if Josh Hasbrook and his friends would be willing to participate in the <br />adopt-a-spot program to maintain the area. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/June 11, 2009 <br />Page 1 of 10 <br />
