Also Present: <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember Chris Riley (arrived at 5:44 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey (arrived at 6:18 p.m.) <br />City Administrator Kurds Ulrich <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Police Captain Jeff Katers <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Human Resources Manager Colleen Lasher <br />Development Services Manager Timothy Gladhill <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Patrick Brama <br />Economic Development Manager Ted LaFrance <br />IT Manager Jason Frederickson <br />City Attorney Joe Langel <br />Absent: Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:44 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Environmental Policy Board Interviews <br />Human Resources Manager Colleen Lasher reviewed the staff report, noting there is currently <br />one vacancy on the Environmental Policy Board due to an early resignation. The candidates <br />were introduced and interviewed separately. <br />The Council agreed both were strong candidates. <br />The consensus of the Council was to appoint Reid Bernaird to a one -year partial term on the <br />Environmental Policy Board. <br />City Council Work Session / May 27, 2014 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
