CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, October 28, <br />2014, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />1. City Administrator /Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama <br />City Attorney Joe Langel <br />Mayor Pro Tem Backous called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. The <br />Council agreed with the request of Mayor Pro Tem Backous to first consider Case 2.04, <br />Discussion on Options for Existing Tanker Being Replaced. <br />2.04: Discussion on Options for Existing Tanker Being Replaced <br />Fire Chief Kapler reviewed the staff report and options for replacing the existing tanker. It was <br />noted that in 2013, the Council authorized the replacement of Tanker #21 and delivery of the <br />replacement apparatus is expected November 10, 2014. He explained the City of Nowthen has <br />expressed interest in purchasing the 1989 tanker and asked whether the Council would support <br />selling it to Nowthen in a price range of $12,000 to $15,000. If approved, the equipment would <br />not be sold until Ramsey staff is trained and competent with the new equipment. At that point, <br />staff would bring a Case before the Council declaring sale of excess equipment. <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated support to sell the 1989 tanker if it is not needed. <br />City Council Work Session / October 28, 2014 <br />Page 1 of 9 <br />
