City of Ramsey Parks & Recreation Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> January 21, 1975 <br /> <br />Present: Ken Peterson, Jerry Manthey, Fred Ritchie, Kathy Schneider. <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7~40 P.M. The minutes of December 18, 1975 <br />were approved as read. - '~'". <br /> <br />Ken Peteraon d~.scussed with Mr. Walker the financial information the Commission <br />would like at each meeting. Mr. Walker will provide this before any future <br />meeting. Ken Peterson will be responsible for presenting this information to <br />the rest of the Commission. The Commission would like to see any expenditures <br />paid out of Park & Recreation funds. <br /> <br />There was discussion regarding the need for the Commission to decide on some <br />constructive objective for 1976 such' as keeping a capital imorovements agenda <br />and working from this. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker was asked to start working on the ~diflance covering the Parks <br />and Mecr~ation Commission. This will be covered at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker appointed Tim Paquette liaison person between the Commission <br />and him~.:el f'. <br /> <br />Mary Hasaett was prdsent to answer questions by the Commiss.ion':-reg~ding <br />the Community School program. She mentioned that there were not <br />volunteers from the teenage group and ways of reaching this age group <br />were discussed. <br /> · <br /> <br />Tim Paquette stated that he had checked with the A.EoC. regarding placing <br />a l~ght at the hockey rink for the rest of the season. He stated that he <br />felt thd cost would be too high for the short period-of time it would be used. <br />Other men, bets felt that it would encourage vandalism unless we had an <br />attendant on duty. <br /> <br />Tim Paquette was asked to check with the School to see what plans they had <br />for f~nisbin/f the three diamonds at the School. <br /> <br />Tim Paquette was. asked to finish filling out a request for trees to be <br />planted by the 4-~{ and see that it is returned to the necessary person <br />by the February ]st dead]_ine. <br /> <br />'~ m6tion was made by Mr. Manthey to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Peterson. <br />Meeting a~ljourned ht 9:20 P.I'.'. Next meeting date is February 19th. <br /> <br /> <br />
