PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, <br />January 27, 1981, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilwoman Van Wagner <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />Building Official Berg <br />Press Representative Sandin <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:32 P.M. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated there was no audience. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated he would like to discuss supporting a <br />Ramsey resident in a dog shooting incident in Northern Minnesota <br />and also the possibility of establishing a postal office branch <br />in Ramsey due to the population increase, stating it would be a <br />desirous time to propose a postal branch identifying the <br />city address and name. <br /> <br />City Administator Schnelle suggested contacting Mr. Oberstar <br />in regard to the postal office branch in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested Councilman Cox and City Administrator <br />Schnelle follow-up on the proposal of a postal office branch <br />in Ramsey and report to the council at a later date. <br /> <br />The general consensus of the council was favorable in regard <br />to the postal office branch proposal. <br /> <br />The council approved of the agenda dated January 27, 1981 and <br />of the addendum to the Council agenda in addition to discussing <br />the dog shooting incident. <br /> <br />C/January 27, 1981 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
