CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Patrick Brama City Attorney Joe Langel CALL TO ORDER Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. 2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION 2.01: Review Update on the City's Potential Future Business Park — Economic Development Analysis Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama reviewed the staff report, presenting the draft Economic Development Analysis to the Council. Mike Mulrooney stated that Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama alluded to the fact that the prospects for Ramsey may be different from other communities along an interstate highway. He stated that Ramsey prospects are more often going to be owner occupied and highlighted some of the benefits including higher wages, additional jobs, and owner occupation. He stated that the business prospects would be similar to the businesses currently found in Ramsey, noting of the possibility of existing businesses expanding as well.
