PLANNING & ZONING CO~ISSION

PUBLIC HEARING

City of Ramsey
Anoka County
State of ~Ainnesota

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Ramsey's Planning &
Zoning Commission held a public hearing at the Ramsey Municipal Center,
15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 on February 4, 1980.

Members Present:

Also Present:

Ken Peterson, Chairman (arrived at 8:00 P.M.)
Ben Deemer
Gerald Zimmerman
Kathleen Schneider (arrived at 8:00 P.M.)
Ron West

City Engineer, Peter Raatikka

Vice Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:40 P.M.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive input and considerations
regarding the proposed plat called "l~eadowbrook Estates".

Mr. Paul Johnson, Planning Consultant for the plat, was present and reviewed
the preliminary plat. He made the following general comments in regard
~to 'the plat.

This plat commenced last November with submission of a sketch
plan. Since that time he has touched base with the Park Board
and City Engineer. After their review he arrived at this pro-
posed layout for the plat which includes 11 residential lots
which are a minimum of two and one-half acres except for the
northeast corner lot which is approximately three acres. On-
site septic systems will be used. The property north of Trott
Brook basically is proposed for park area in an amount of 13%
of the land for park as required by ordinance. He feels that
drainage should not have a large impact on the lots in the area.
A grading and drainage plan will be submitted in the future which
will show all water directed toward public drainage right of
way.

Mr. Rich Norcutt, 173rd and Germanium Street N.W., stated he came to inquire
about how the drainage will be handled and the number of lots to be created.

There was no further citizen input.

Hearing closed at 8:47 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,

Arlene Ped~ycoart '~ ~"
Planning Aide

P&Z
February 4, 1980 Page 1
