COMMISSION INTERVIEWS <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council, along with the Chairs and/or Vice Chairs of Commissions, and City <br />staff, conducted interviews to fill vacancies on the Planning Commission, Park and Recreation <br />Commission, and Economic Development Authority, on Monday, February 4, 2002. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas G. Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />Todd Cook, Chairperson Park & Recreation Commission <br />Jill E. Johns, Vice-Chair, Park & Recreation Commission <br />Bill Kociscak, Vice-Chair, Planning Commission <br />Lydia Scheiber, Vice-Chair, Economic Development Authority <br />James E. Norman, City Administrator <br />Rhonda Heryla, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />COMMISSION APPOINTMENT INTERVIEWS <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Rhonda Heryla distributed a list of questions and a rating schedule <br />for each candidate to be interviewed. The City Council and Commission representatives <br />discussed the selection process. There was a consensus that following the interviews, the <br />Council and Commission representatives would discuss preferences rather than use the scoring <br />method utilized during the past selection process. The Council and Commission representatives <br />were informed that Ralph Bauer and Pete Stanius were unable to be scheduled for the interviews <br />and that Andrew Marchant canceled his interview. <br /> <br />The Council briefly discussed holding a Council work session on Tuesday, February 5. Due to a <br />scheduling problem with the Fire Fighter Training Room, the Council could not hold the work <br />session in that room. No consensus could be reached and, therefore, the work session could not <br />be held. <br /> <br />Interviews began at 5:50. The City Council and Commission representatives interviewed the <br />candidates in the following order and times: Richard Krueger at 5:50 p.m., Eric Watson at 6:00 <br />p.m., Jon Olds at 6:10 p.m., Kathleen Sweet at 6:23 p.m., Break at 6:30 p.m., John Dehen at 7:00 <br />p.m., Melody Shyrock at 7:18 p.m., Jerry Wallner at 7:34 p.m., Jim Gromberg at 7:44 p.m. and <br />Keith Kiefer at 8:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Interviews/February 4, 2002 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
