Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION 02-02-071 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPRAISAL OF DAMAGES FOR THE ACQUISITION OF <br />THE PARCELS OWNED BY THE MPCA NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />THE EXTENSION OF SUNWOOD DRIVE AND AZURITE STREETS <br /> <br /> WHERAS, pursuant to its Resolution 01-11-413, the City Council authorized the <br />commencement of an eminent domain action for acquisition of fee tire, permanent and temporary <br />easements as described on the attached EXHIBIT A (the "Subject Property"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owner of the Subject Property has been identified as shown on the attached <br />EXHIBIT A. The purpose of the acquisition is to acquire from the owner the parcels necessary for <br />the construction of the extension of Sunwood Drive and Azurite Streets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a part of the condemnation action the City authorized that the Subject Property <br />be appraised to determine the damages incurred by the owner as a result of its taking by the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's appraiser has completed a preliminary appraisal of the Subject <br />Property. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby approves the preliminary appraisal of value of the Subject <br />Property in the amount of $52,300.00. <br /> <br />That pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 117.042, the City Attorney is authorized to deposit the appraised <br />amount with the District Court Administrator or to pay said amount directly to the owner of the <br />Subject Property. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 02-02-071 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
