<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #18-112 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR BUNKER <br />LAKE BOULEVARD AND PUMA STREET PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS, <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #18-05 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> in 2006, Bunker Lake Boulevard was extended west of Armstrong <br />Boulevard and Puma Street was constructed between Bunker Lake Boulevard and Alpine Drive, <br />portions of which were constructed using temporary pavement sections; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> sanitary sewer and watermain improvements were recently completed <br />along the west end of Bunker Lake Boulevard, east of its intersection with Puma Street, and are <br />currently being completed under Puma Street north of Bunker Lake Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the streets above and along the utility improvements require reconstruction <br />or replacement to support current and future development along these streets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Bolton & Menk, Inc. prepared the plans and specifications for the Puma <br />Street utility improvements, including preliminary roadway design work, which assisted in <br />completing final plans and specifications; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #17-12-316, adopted <br />December 12, 2017, Bolton & Menk, Inc. was designated as the engineer for this improvement <br />and was ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #18-080, adopted May 8, <br />2018, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized <br />advertisements for bids for said improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald and in Finance and <br />Commerce on May 11 and 18, 2018; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />bids were received, opened, and tabulated on June 5, 2018, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID <br />Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC $923,458.23 <br />Midwest Civil Constructors $981,506.31 <br />Dave Perkins Contracting $1,018,700.80* <br />C & L Excavating $1,031,403.70 <br />Forest Lake Contracting $1,051,586.31 <br />Northdale Construction $1,101,655.79 <br />CS McCrossan Construction $1,113,695.80 <br /> <br />
