Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-032 <br />RESOLUTION EXTENDING CERTAIN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACTS <br />WHEREAS, the City currently contracts with Inspectron, Inc., Tokle Inspections, and <br />WSB Associates to support the City's Community Development Department for Building <br />Inspections, Electrical Inspections, and Planning/Zoning respectively; and, <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 2-275 (Purchasing Alternatives) states that requests for <br />proposals (RFP) shall be required for contracts in excess of $25,000, but states that the City <br />Council may, at its discretion, formally extend a current standard services contract upon <br />recommendation of city staff, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has reviewed rates and charges of comparable professional services <br />contractors and found existing contracts to be price competitive. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council hereby extends professional services contracts for the Community <br />Development Department as follows: <br />a. Extend current contract with Inspectron, Inc. for Building Inspections for a period of <br />one (1) year to allow the City's new Building Official to review current services. <br />b. Extend current contract with Tokle Inspections for Electrical Inspections for a period <br />of three (3) years. <br />c. Extend current contract with WSB Associates for Planning and Zoning Services for a <br />period of three (3) years. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />
