• <br />• <br />• <br />Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -05 -134 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF RHONDA HERYLA IN THE <br />POSITION OF FULL -TIME HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER <br />WHEREAS, City Council accepted the resignation of Administrative Services Manager <br />Joyce Pruitt Hottinger, effective October 15, 1999, thus creating a vacancy in the Administrative <br />Services Department; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 12, 1999, Council authorized staff to proceed with the process <br />of placing a general ad to fill the vacancy, whether the position be filled in its current capacity or <br />in the capacity of an Assistant City Administrator; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 9, 1999, Council received report that the City had received <br />over 100 applications from the general ad that was placed and authorized staff to enter into an <br />agreement with PDI for recruitment and initial selection processes for an Administrative Services <br />Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 16, 1999, Council received a report suggesting that the <br />position of Administrative Services Manager be filled with an Assistant City Administrator and a <br />Personnel Technician; and <br />WHEREAS, the position title of Personnel Technician was changed to Human <br />Resources Manager to better reflect the duties of the position; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 25, 2000, Council authorized the hiring of Rhonda Heryla to <br />serve in the position of full -time Human Resources Manager at the negotiated annual salary of <br />$44,485, contingent upon physical examination and implementation of a six -month probationary <br />period. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That a vacancy existed in the Administrative Services Department. <br />2. That Council authorized advertisement for such position. <br />3. That interviews were conducted and Council authorized hiring Rhonda Heryla for the <br />position of full -time Human Resources Manager to be compensated at an annual salary of <br />$44,485, contingent upon physical examination and implementation of a one -year <br />probationary period. <br />
