• <br />• <br />Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -03 -056 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99 -65 (WELL NO. 5) <br />WHEREAS, on February 22, 2000, City Council adopted Resolution #00- 02 -XXX <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Well No. 5, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br />bidder. <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br />Keys Well Drilling Co. <br />E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. <br />$127,620 <br />$106,655 <br />Engineer's Estimate $100,000 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />construction of Well No. 5 in the amount of $106,655. <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />
