(?ouncilmcmber Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #05-03-078 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RAMSEY LIONS CLUB. APPLICATION FOR A <br />PREMISE I'ERMIT FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT M &L LIQUOR IN RAMSEY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club. has applied for a premise permit for gambling at <br />M&I, lJiquor, 5900-167th Avenue NW Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club. has requested Council waive the 30-day notice <br />pr()vision~ and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) 'l'hat the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the <br /> Ramsey I~ions Club, Inc. to operate lawful gambling at M&L Liquor, 5900-167th Avenue <br /> ]',JW Ramscy <br /> <br />2) 'lhat thc Ramscy City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) 'l'hat the Ramscy City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br /> O l'ficer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br /> Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />'l'hc motion For the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />I'carson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamcc <br /> Councilmembcr Elvig <br /> Councilmember Pearson <br /> Councihncmber Cook <br /> Cotmcihnem bet Jeffrey <br /> (;ouncihnember Strommen <br /> <br />,md thc l'ollowing voted against the same: <br /> <br /> N(mc <br /> <br />~llq¢l thc t?,llowing abstained: <br /> <br /> <br />
