CITY COUNCIL CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The City Council conducted a special meeting on Thursday, September 27, 2001, at the Ramsey Fire Station II, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Tom Gamec Councilmember Susan E. Anderson Councilmember Patti Kurak Councilmember Terry Hendricksen Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Also Present: Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Michael Nixt Planning and Zoning Commission Vice Chair William Kociscak Human Resources Manager Rhonda Heryla Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes CALL TO ORDER Mayor Tom Gamec call the special meeting of the City Council to interview Planning and Zoning Commission candidates to order at 6:03 p.m. The following candidates were interview in the following order: Suzanne Dvorak Tim Thompson Jim Steffen Richard Kruger Pete Stanius Julie Horn Gerald Wallner Keith Kiefer Ralph Brauer John Dehn Human Resources Manager Heryla outlined the interviewing process, advising that ten-minute interviews were planned because of the number of the candidates to be interviewed. She reported that their packets included a schedule, a set of interview questions, and a scoring sheet. Human Resources Manager Heryla instructed that after all the interview were completed, to return their scoring sheets to her and she will compute each candidate's score. This information will then be reported back to the Council. Mayor Gamec indicated that each panel member will ask a question. The interviews were completed at 8:12 p.m. Human Resources Manager Heryla tallied the score sheets and reported to the panel that Ralph Brauer had the highest score. The panel's recommendation was to formally recommend Ralph Brauer's name to fill the Planning and Zoning Commission vacancy to the City Council at their regularly scheduled meeting on October 9,2001.
