<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION #21-201
<br />
<br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT NO. 3 TO KUECHLE
<br />UNDERGROUND, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-00, RIVERDALE
<br />DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION, FELDSPAR STREET TO SUNFISH LAKE
<br />BOULEVARD
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />the City proposes to reconstruct Riverdale Drive NW between Feldspar
<br />Street NW and Sunfish Lake Boulevard in 2021 under City Improvement Project #21-00; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-248 adopted November
<br />24, 2020, the City Council accepted the design services proposal of Bolton & Menk, Inc. for
<br />providing engineering services required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose
<br />of soliciting bids for the construction of Improvement Project #21-00; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-022 adopted January 26,
<br />
<br />2021, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared byBolton & Menk,
<br />Inc. and authorized advertisements for bids for the construction of Improvement Project #21-00;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS
<br />, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald and in Finance and
<br />Commerce on January 29th and February 5th, 2021; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS
<br />, eleven (11) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on March 2, 2021, and
<br />the bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisements for
<br />bids, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS
<br />, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-057 adopted March 9,
<br />2021, the bid of Kuechle Underground Inc. of Kimball, Minnesota, in the amount of $771,913.13
<br />for the construction of the said improvements was accepted; the Mayor and city Administrator
<br />were authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said
<br />improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-128, adopted May 25,
<br />2021, Kuechle Underground, Inc. incorporated the Dolomite Street Demolition work, as well as
<br />furnishing and installing 19 water gate valve boxes, in the amount of $73,988.48 into their contract
<br />for the Riverdale Drive Reconstruction project per Supplemental Agreement #1; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS
<br />, as of July 27, 2021 $272,573.66 has been paid to date; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS
<br />, the Engineer Technician IV has inspected the completed work and
<br />recommends partial payment No. 3 to Kuechle Underground, Inc. of Kimball, Minnesota for
<br />Improvement Project #21-00 Riverdale Drive Reconstruction, from Feldspar Street to Sunfish
<br />Lake Boulevard, in the amount of $385,690.39
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
