FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />ri'he Ramscy Fire Department conducted the monthly officers meeting on Tuesday, October 2, <br />2001, at Ramsey Fire Station #2, 15050 Armstrong Blvd. NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />OFFICERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chief Kapler <br />Assistant Chief Hoxter <br />Officer Lemm <br />Officer Lewandowski <br />Officer Sharp <br />Officer Streich <br />Officer Weiss <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chicl' Kaplcr called the officers meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />'here were no additions to the agenda. <br /> <br />Duty officer for October is Officer Weiss; November, Officer Sharp; and December, Officer <br />Streich. Duty officer for the deer hunting weekend opener is Assistant Chief Simpson. <br /> <br />Thc next officers meeting will be Sunday, October 28, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />SAFETY CONCERNS <br /> <br />Ol:liccrs discussed eye protection and if face shields are adequate or if eye goggles or safety <br />glasses should be mandated for certain types of responses. Officer Lewandowski will obtain <br />some samples to bring to the October Business Meeting. <br /> <br />A complete audit of turnout gear will be done to prioritize replacement needs. Particular <br />attention will be made to reflective gear and PAR tags. The audit will include an inspection <br />of thc cleanliness of the gear. <br /> <br />Thc exhalation valves of the extra masks on the engines will be checked. <br /> <br />Captains at each station will keep an inventory of the bottled water. <br /> <br />STATION CLEAN UP <br /> <br />· Thc assistant chiefs will call the firefighter whose group is responsible for clean up this <br /> month. <br /> <br />RESCUE TRUCK UPDATE <br /> <br />Assistant Chief Simpson will work on Rescue #1 this weekend. <br /> <br /> <br />
