FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday February 27, 2001, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Terry Hendricksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Hendriksen called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:17 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Kurak, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Capital Improvement/Capital Outlay Plan <br /> <br />Finance Office Lund stated that previously the Council was presented with the Ramsey's Capital <br />hnprovements/Capital Outlay Plan (CIP) for the years 2001 to 2005. It has been prepared in an <br />attempt to anticipate major capital expenditures in advance of the year in which they are budget <br />requests. Further, several projects may interrelate or require other improvements prior to <br />initiation which would cause delays without prior planning. Additionally, projects may require <br />budgeting over several years or receipt of funds from other sources (i.e. grants) requiring <br /> <br />Finance Committee/February 27, 2001 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
