<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION #22-121
<br />
<br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO KUECHLE UNDERGROUND,
<br />INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-00, RIVERDALE DRIVE
<br />RECONSTRUCTION, FELDSPAR STREET TO SUNFISH LAKE BOULEVARD
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to reconstruct Riverdale Drive NW between Feldspar
<br />Street NW and Sunfish Lake Boulevard in 2021 under City Improvement Project #21-00; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-248 adopted November
<br />24, 2020, the City Council accepted the design services proposal of Bolton & Menk, Inc. for
<br />providing engineering services required to develop final plans and specifications for the purpose
<br />of soliciting bids for the construction of Improvement Project #21-00; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-022 adopted January 26,
<br />2021, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by Bolton & Menk,
<br />Inc. and authorized advertisements for bids for the construction of Improvement Project #21-00;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald and in Finance and
<br />Commerce on January 29th and February 5th, 2021; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, eleven (11) bids were received, opened, and tabulated on March 2, 2021, and
<br />the bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisements for
<br />bids, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-057 adopted March 9,
<br />2021, the bid of Kuechle Underground Inc. of Kimball, Minnesota, in the amount of $771,913.13
<br />for the construction of the said improvements was accepted; the Mayor and city Administrator
<br />were authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said
<br />improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #21-128, adopted May 25,
<br />2021, Kuechle Underground, Inc. incorporated the Dolomite Street Demolition work, as well as
<br />furnishing and installing 19 water gate valve boxes, in the amount of $73,988.48 into their contract
<br />for the Riverdale Drive Reconstruction project per Supplemental Agreement #1; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, as of May 24, 2022 $788,177.74 has been paid to date; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Engineer Technician IV has inspected the completed work and
<br />recommends final payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. of Kimball, Minnesota for Improvement
<br />Project #21-00 Riverdale Drive Reconstruction, from Feldspar Street to Sunfish Lake Boulevard,
<br />in the amount of $59,180.04.

<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows:
