Cool< introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-09-326 <br /> <br />I',ES¢)I,UTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-03 <br />(SEAl ,(;OAT AND CRACKFILL GORItAM'S SANDY ACRJgS ESTATES, SECTION 24 <br />( t~[ N I'I,ATTED) <br /> <br /> Wl ilCl(EAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Ramsey City <br />'ot~cil has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the <br />l~t~l~'~x'~:lltcnt Ih'eject #05-03, which is Sealcoat and Crackfill of Gorham's Sandy Acres Estates, <br />5, cctio~ 24 (unplattcd) <br /> <br />N¢)W TIlElllgFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />I),..,.\MSI,;Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />'l'hat such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hcrcol; it hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands <br />i~alned therein, and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by <br />the improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br />ri'hat st_tch assessment shall be payable in annual installments extending over a period of <br />three years, the first of the installments to be payable with the first tax rolls of 2006 and <br />shall bear interest at the rate of 6.0 percent annum from the date of the adoption of this <br />~sscsstncnt resolution. To the first installment interest shall be added on the entire <br />:~zscssmcnt from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2006. To each subsequent <br />installment, when due, interest shall be added for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> <br />-l'hat the owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br />:tsscssment to the Anoka County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such <br />property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City Finance Department, <br />except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days <br />ii'om the adoption of the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest <br />accrttcd to Dcccmber 31 of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must <br />be made before November 4, or interest will be charged through December 31 of the <br />s~tccccding year. <br /> <br />'l'hat a certified duplicate of this assessment be transmitted to the Anoka County <br />Auditor's Office to be extended on the property tax lists of the County and such <br />~sscssments shall be collected and paid in the same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> <br />'1 hc ~notion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />l~c~'soll, ~md upon vote being taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Resolution #05-09-326 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
