PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, in the <br />Trott Brook Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Vice Chairperson Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey (alternate) <br />Human Resources Representative Colleen Lasher <br />City Administrator Kurtis G. Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Vice Chairperson Tossey called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:17 <br />p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />None <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Mayor Ramsey, seconded by Councilmember Strommen to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />Motion carried. All present voted in favor. <br />4.1 Consider a Resolution to Accept the Resignation of the Building Official and <br />Address the 2012 Building Official Needs <br />Human Resources Representative Lasher reported that Mr. Mick Kaehler, the City's Building <br />Official, has submitted a letter of resignation, effective December 30, 2011. She explained that <br />currently, the Building Department consists of the Building Official, the Permit Technician, and <br />contracted building inspections through Inspectron, Inc. With Mr. Kaehler's resignation, per <br />Minnesota Statute 326B.133, the Building Division is in need of a Building Official beginning <br />January 1, 2012. Staff is recommending Council accept the resignation of Mick Kaehler and that <br />the City contract the Building Official's responsibilities out to Inspectron, Inc. effective January <br />1, 2012, for a period of six months to allow for review of long term Building Official needs. <br />Personnel Committee — December 13, 2011 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
