PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />Chairperson Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Mayor Strommen (alternate — arrived later) <br />Human Resources Manager Colleen Lasher <br />Police Chief Jim Way <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Administrator Kurtis G. Ulrich (in attendance but not the entire time <br />due to the Finance Committee being held at the same time) <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Tossey called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />He noted only two members of the Committee present and suggested the meeting be canceled, <br />especially since all the items were going before the entire Council this evening. Following a <br />brief discussion, it was determined this meeting would be held. <br />2. CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br />3. APPROVE AGENDA <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br />4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />No minutes were submitted for approval. <br />5. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br />5.01: Resolution to End a Patrol Officer's Probation <br />Human Resources Manager Lasher reviewed the staff report and recommendation to remove <br />Shannon Schlender from probation and retain her as a regular full-time Patrol Officer effective <br />November 27, 2013, as she has successfully completed the required probationary period.
