Councilman Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #80-129 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice d~uly given as required by <br />law, the Ramsey City Council has met and heard and passed upon all object- <br />ions to the proposed assessment for the improvement of the following streets: <br /> <br />a) 154th Lane N.W. lying between Barium Street N.W. and <br /> Argon Street N.W. <br /> <br />Barium Street N.W. from the North botundary of the <br />Halland Acres plat to the South boundary line of <br />sa~d plat. <br /> <br />c) Argon Street N.W. from 154th Lane to the South <br /> boundary line of the plat. <br /> <br />Ail of the above streets are located in the Southeast <br />Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, Township <br />32, Range 25, Anoka County, Mir~nesota <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> t) Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the <br />special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land <br />therein included in hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improve- <br />ment in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> <br /> 2) Such assessment shall be payable in equal installments ex- <br />tending over a period of ten years, the first of the installments to be pay- <br />able on or before the first Monday in January, 1981 and shall bear interest <br />at the rate of eight and one-half (8½) per cent mmaum from the date of the <br />adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be <br />added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution <br />until December 31, 1990. To each subsequent installment when due shall be <br />added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> <br /> 3) The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time <br />prior to the certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pay the <br />whole of the assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date <br />of payment, to the city treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged <br />if the entire assessment is paid within thirty (30) days from the adoption <br />of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the city <br />treasurer the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with in- <br />terest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. <br />Such payment must be made before November 14 or interest will be charged <br />through December 31 of the next succeeding year. <br /> <br /> <br />
