Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved <br />for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #81-105 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING FOR BIDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to motion passed by the Council July 22, 1980, <br />the architectural firm of Seiberlich and Whipkey Associates has prepared <br />plans and specifications for the improvement of the lower floor of the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center and has presented such plans and specifications <br />to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The Administrator/Clerk shall prepare and cause to be <br />inserted in the official paper and in the Construction <br />Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of <br />such improvement under such plans and specifications. <br />The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall <br />specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will <br />be received by the City Administrator/Clerk until 12:00 p.m. <br />on September 4, 1981, at which time they will be publicly <br />opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center by the Building Official and architect, will then <br />be tabulated, and will be considered by the Council at <br />8:00 p.m., September 8, 1981 in the Council Chambers of <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center and that no bid will be consi- <br />dered unless sealed and filed with the Administrator/Clerk <br />and acommpanied by a cashier's check, cash deposit, bid <br />bond, or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for <br />5% of the amount of bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember Cox and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- <br />ing voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Reimann and <br />Cox <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of July, 1981. <br /> <br /> <br />
