Councilmember Van Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #83-82 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING<!IADV~RTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS FOR CENTRAL PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ~83-17 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council <br />on April 26, 1983, the City Engineer, Mr. Pete Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson <br />Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement <br />of Central Park and has presented such plans and specifications to the City <br />Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Such plans and specifications, are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the <br />Anoka County Union and Shopper (The City's official paper) and in ~the Con- <br />struction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such im- <br />provement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement <br />shall be published for ten days, shall specify the work to be done, shall <br />state that bids will be received by the City Administrator/Clerk until <br />11:00 A.M., on June 24, 1983, at which time they will be publicly opened <br />in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Admini- <br />strator/Clerk and City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be con- <br />sidered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 P.M. on June 28, 1983, in the <br />Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and <br />filed with the City Administrator/Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, <br />cashiers check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Admini- <br />strator/Clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Van Wagner, Sorteberg, Schlueter and <br />Reimann <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council this the 31st day of May, 1983. <br /> <br /> <br />
