Councilmember Reimann introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~84-71 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Anoka has requested that the Cities of Ramsey, Anoka, <br />Champlin and Dayton form a Joint Highway Task Force for the purpose of studying the <br />long-range transportation needs of the below listed routes: <br /> <br />a) T. H. 169 (between Mississippi River and T.H. 10 bypass in Anoka) <br /> <br />b) T. H. 47 (a rerouting by DoT of T.H. 47 from its present fairground location <br /> to a new route) <br /> <br />c) A Hennepin County and Anoka County joiriventure on a new upstream bridge <br /> crossing on the Mississippi River <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Anoka has requested that each City appoint an official <br />to the above named task force. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby approves of the creating of a Joint Highway <br />Task Force for the above stated purposes. <br /> <br /> Z) The Ramsey City Council hereby appoints the following elected official to <br />the above named task force: Councilmember Sorteberg <br /> <br /> 3) It is further requested that the following administrative requirements be required <br />at Task Force meetings: <br /> <br /> a) That the Task Force elect a chairman who would be responsible for setting <br />up meeting dates, etc. <br /> <br /> b) That the Task Force retain a secretary to take minutes of all meetings <br />and that each City Council be furnished with a copy of the minutes of each meeting. <br />The cost of the secretary would be borne by the four communities. <br /> <br /> c) That a time frame be established by the Task Force as to the length <br />of time they would need to complete the study and submit findings to respective <br />City Councils. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Van Wagner and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, Van Wagner, Schlueter and Sorteberg <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />N one <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 17th day of April, 1984. <br /> <br /> <br />
