Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 985-94 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ALTERNATE BID FOR CHANGE IN STREET <br />GRADE ON AZURITE STREET N.W. AND COUNTY ROAD #5 (#85-14) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey <br />City Council on February 27, 1985, and a motion by the City <br />Council on April 23, 1985, City Engineer, Mr. Peter R. Raatikka <br />of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. has prepared alternate bid <br />specifications for the grade improvement of the following <br />intersection: <br /> <br />Azurite Street N.W. at Nowthen Blvd. N.W. <br />(~ ~ #5) <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA CDUNT~, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That such alternate bid specification, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby <br />approved. <br /> 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk shall prepare and <br />cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the <br />Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making <br />of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. <br />The advertisement shall be published for ten days, shall specify <br />the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by <br />the City Administrator/Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on June 21, 1985 <br />at which time they will be publicly opened in the City <br />Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City <br />Administrator/Clerk and City Engineer, will then be tabulated and <br />will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 P.M. on <br />June 25, 1985 in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and <br />filed with the City Administrator/Clerk and accompanied by a cash <br />deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to <br />the City Administrator/Clerk for five (5) per cent of the amount <br />of such bid. <br /> <br /> 3) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey may <br />determine after bids are received to proceed with the project, a <br />budget amendment will be necessary. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Mayor Heitman and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Cox, Sorteberg, Schlueter and <br />Reimann <br /> <br />Page I of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
