Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RF_.S~UTION %85-144 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR RIVER'S BEND AND ADJACENT UNPLATTED AREAS (%84-12, 13 AND 18) WHEREAS, contracts have been let and costs have been determined for the public utilities, street and grading improvements to the plat of River's Bend and the contract prices for such improvements are $873,449.71 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of such improvements amount to $268,520.83 so that the total cost of the improvements will be $1,141,970.54. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The portion of the cost of such improvements to be paid by the City is hereby declared to be $ .... and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to he $1,141,970.54. 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for p~!b!ic inspection. 3) The City Administrator/Clerk shall upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the City Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Cox, Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of A~ust, 1985. // /,2 ×/ ,.,, ,., /A~l~trXto~/a erk
