Councilmember Cox introduced the following resolution and <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESGLUTION #85-155 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (156th <br />Avenue ~W #85-8) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Ramsey City <br />Council on August 27, 1985, the City Administrator/Clerk was <br />directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of the <br />tarvia surfacing improv~ent of the following streets: <br /> <br />1) 156th Avenue NW between Variolite Street NW <br /> and Armstrong Blvd. NW (County Road #83) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the City Administrator/Clerk has notified <br />the City Council that such proposed assessment has been completed <br />and f/led in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCILw CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) A hearing shall be held on the 17th day of <br />September, 1985, in the Ramsey Municipal Center, at 7:30 P.M. to <br />pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all <br />persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given <br />an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby directed to <br />ause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be <br />published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior <br />to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost <br />of the improvement. He shall also cause mailed notice to be <br />given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment <br />roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seco. nded by Councilmember $orteberg and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Cox, $orteberg, Reimann and <br />Schl ueter <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of August, 1985. <br /> <br /> <br />
